Plancher Epoxy Magog. Steps to installed a epoxy floor
Step 1: Free telephone consultation
First of all, one of our specialists will contact you by phone. You will have to answer a few questions that will allow him to evaluate the work to be done. We advise you to take the dimensions of each room where there is work to be done in note before this call. In this way, the person on the other end of the line will be able to accurately estimate the importance of the task to be done. If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them during this interview to guide you as best we can in preparing the room(s) that will be coated with an epoxy or polyaspartic coating. Together, we will also be able to agree on an appointment time where we will go on site in order to better evaluate the work.
Step 2: A free meeting with our specialist
A specialist from our team will then come to your home at the agreed time. You will be able to show him the place where the work will be done so that he can accurately estimate the cost of the work as well as the duration of the task. In order to make sure of the material required for each task, our appraiser will measure the room accurately. He will examine the concrete to accurately analyze its condition. If a major defect occurs, he will inform you of the process to contact the professional who will be able to correct the situation. At the end of this interview, our specialist will be able to tell you the exact cost you will have to pay to complete the work. He will also have all the necessary information to determine the appropriate products. If you still have questions, do not hesitate to contact him. He will be happy to answer them for you.
Step 3: The first day of work
Today is the first day of construction! We ask that you have prepared the work surface beforehand, freeing it from anything that could prevent us from carrying out the work in an efficient manner.
Concrete grinding First, we will prepare the concrete with the help of a grinding wheel with diamond blades. If a layer of paint has been applied to the concrete, this step will allow us to remove it. If the concrete does not have a layer of paint, our tool will be used to get rid of imperfections and impurities that are present in the floor. Our high-tech equipment allows us to perform this step of the process while leaving very little dirt behind in your home. The unit we use is equipped with a vacuum cleaner that automatically swallows the thin layer of concrete it removes. As a result, the ambient air is not contaminated by dust.
Plugging the cracks Once the cleaning is completed, we will apply specialized products to seal the cracks in the concrete. Our special products allow a perfect adhesion of the epoxy coating on the floor.
Apply the epoxy Then, we will apply the epoxy or polyaspartic coating with a squeegee and sometimes a roller. Immediately after the application, if you have chosen to decorate your floor with vinyl flakes, we will add them at that time. Following this step, the floor will have to dry overnight to ensure that it will hold up well.
Step 4: The second day of work
It's already the last day of work! The installer will come back to your home for the second day to apply a finishing coat. You will then have to follow his instructions to the letter regarding drying time. He will also tell you how to maintain your brand new floor.
Your brand new floor!
Once the drying time that we have indicated is over, you will finally be able to enjoy a floor that meets your expectations!
